Created for weightlifting meets, BarLoad displays the plates needed to load the bar to the requested weight. The color coded graphical representation of plates and the amount in kilograms and pounds helps the loaders quickly and accurately load the bar. BarLoad also includes a lift timer, lifter names, attempt number, rack height, and more! |

PowerLifting meets can be long and tedious, especially for the guys loading the bar. At a typical meet the announcer calls out a lifter's name and attempted weight as the contestant approaches the platform. It's up to the bar loaders to hear the attempt amount and load the correct plates on the bar. Mistakes can easily happen on the noisy platform.
These mistakes can be minimized by placing a TV or monitor on the platform in sight of the loaders, judges, and audience that displays the contestant's attempt and plate configuration. The contestant's attempt is entered at a computer stationed at the announcer's desk by someone devoted strictly to that task who can read the attempt directly from the lifter's attempt card.
The bold numeric weight display also improves audience participation by letting them know how much the contestant is attempting to lift. BarLoad converts kilograms to pounds or pounds to kilograms and displays both numbers.
The optional Rack Height display lets the loaders see the lifter's chosen rack height. The Attempt Number replaces the Rack Height when the timer is reset.

Generally a lifter has a certain amount of time allowed to complete the lift after the bar has been loaded. Someone has the responsibility of keeping track of the elapsed time during each lift. BarLoad has a timer (upper-left corner) that counts down from the preset time activated by the operator. The timer is displayed in bold numbers so the judges and the lifter know exactly how much time remains for the attempt. The timer display color changes to yellow at 10 seconds and to red when the time has expired. The timer can be paused and resumed any time and can be preset to any desired minutes.
The attempt number in the upper-right corner helps the audience know which attempt is being performed. The attempt number is cycled from 1 through 4 with the plus and minus keys.

CustomizableUse the setup form to enter the number, weight, and color of your plates. The plate color is used in the display to help the loaders quickly identify plates and to help the judges confirm a proper load. Enter the weight of the bar and collars and select pounds or kilograms.
BarLoad is pre-configured with several plate colors including black but any color can be setup.
|
Lifter NamesBarLoad 5 includes the option to enter and display the current lifter's name along with the attempt and loaded bar display. Names can be pre-entered or entered "on-the-fly" and quickly recalled.
|

BarLoad 5 provides eight screen display options for greater flexibility, four of which include the lifter's name.
Print or view a Load Chart for the plates configured in BarLoad. This
helps the judges to verify proper loads.
The Load Chart automatically converts the weights from kilograms to pounds or
pounds to kilograms. The total number of load possibilities is displayed in the
upper corner as Configurations.
|
The Totals report shows a summary of the configured plates with the maximum amount that your configuration will allow, |
BarLoad will run on most PCs using Windows 95 or later. A PC with a TV output is required to connect a TV, or use a projector connected to your PC's 2nd video output. BarLoad's screens are optimized to display in 800x600 or 1024x768 resolution.
BarLoad is shipped on CD-ROM.

| Barload has been an incredible asset to my meets. In
addition to fast, mistake-free loading which is an obvious advantage to me
as a meet director, both the lifters and audience benefit from the
“scoreboard” aspects of the software as well. Lifters find being able to see
who's up on the platform, how much time is left on the clock, what the
amount is being attempted and other info very helpful and that same
information helps keep the audience focused and involved in what is taking
place. Barload has been a big hit at our meets and I can’t imagine holding a
meet without it! Donna Slaga APA CT Chairperson

| Mike,
Just wanted you to know I used your software at the Northeast Regional Bench Press Championship this past Saturday in Red Lion, PA...and it was a hit. Everyone loved it, it took the loaders a little while to trust it, but soon they were looking at the screen instead of waiting for the Head Referees instructions. Thank You so much...it is really terrific. I really appreciate this software and look forward to new releases by you in the future. Best Regards, Kimberly Newman
